At Aunt Birdie’s Pet Watch, your companion’s health and well-being is our primary focus. Roberta Marshall, (nicknames Birdie, Aunt Birdie), started pet sitting in 1999. She inherited Pet Watch from Elissa Patterson, the previous owner of the retail pet store, Animal House on West 57 th Street and Eighth Avenue in Manhattan. Elissa operated the store from 1996-2004 and provided a pet sitting service for cats and dogs called Pet Watch, where Roberta worked for many of Elissa’s clients. In March 2004, Elissa closed her pet store and asked Roberta to carry on her good name and pet sitting business.
She was thrilled to receive this business and has 7 associates – Dora, Adalberto, Tova, Julie, Sharon, Mark, and Rex – who have helped grow it with a passion for caring for our four-legged friends to a philosophy of engagement and entertainment. We want your pets to look forward to the time they spend with their pet nannies and care-givers, and so we are extremely selective about the individuals we use for cat sitting, dog walks, runs in the parks, boarding, and overnight stays.
Engaging an Aunt Birdie’s Pet Watch associate to care for and watch over your pet’s health and happiness while you are at work, play or away is one of the special things New Yorkers can do to insure the well-being of their companion animals. We welcome interviews and estimates without cost or obligation and are more than happy to provide references and documentation of our bonded, licensed, and insured status.
